Career Jumpstart Program

An exciting new opportunity for this year’s fresh graduates

The Program

The Career Jumpstart Program is a new initiative by The Virtual Hub that gives talented fresh college graduates who are willing and able to work at night in Cebu City the chance to build their skillsets in the Digital Marketing industry as Virtual Assistant apprentices, in preparation for full-time careers as night shift V.A.s of the company.

It is open to all graduates of 2019 who are ready to take the first step in their careers with one of the fastest-growing companies in Cebu.

How It Works

You will participate in our game-changing intensive training program, which is designed to take you through the paces of becoming a ROCK STAR VA in our company.

From simple task management, to basic design, to digital marketing strategy implementation, you will learn everything you need to know in order to hit the ground running with our clients.

The training program will run for eight weeks from Monday, October 28th through Friday, December 20th, after which you get to enjoy a two-week break to spend the holidays with your family and friends. You will return to work on January 6th as a full-time employee.

One more thing…

You will be an employee from Day One, which means you will get paid to go through training!

If you do well, you will even have a job to go back to after the holidays, with an increase in your salary!

Your Benefits

These benefits apply to the successful participants of the Career Jumpstart Program.

Employment Contract from Day One

It’s not “just training.” It is, for all intents and purposes, a job, but for the first eight weeks, you will be undergoing rigorous training so you can be at the top of your game!

Training Allowance

Get the rare chance to earn while you learn. Make P10,000 per month, all in^, to be paid bi-monthly, while you train and prepare for the full-time job in January.

When you return to work in January, you will start to enjoy the benefits of a full salary, which will be based upon how well you did during the first eight weeks!

Fixed Weekends Off. Forever.

We will never ask you to work on a weekend. Ever.

Fixed Schedules. Period.

While you are going through the training program, you will follow our training schedule of 6pm – 2am, Mondays through Fridays.

In January, you will be transitioned to the Night Shift, which generally begins at 9pm and ends at 6am*.

Two Weeks Off This Holiday Season

Enjoy two weeks off# at the end of your training before you come in as a full-time Virtual Assistant in January.

Statutory Benefits

As an employee, your statutory benefits% (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-ibig) take effect on Day One.

If you graduate from training in January, these additional benefits are what you can look forward to:

Competitive Salary Packages

Our basic salary packages start at Php 16,500 and go up based on your performance in the training. These basic rates are still subject to Night Differential for hours worked between 10pm PHT and 6am PHT.

HMO and Other Company-mandated benefits upon graduation

Get the same benefits as all our other Virtual Assistants when you graduate from the training program. That means you get healthcare, dental, performance-based incentives, leave credits, and more!

Non-Voice Accounts

All Virtual Assistant accounts are essentially Non-Voice. That means you won’t be taking calls throughout your shift, except for when clients need to go on meetings with you!

Five Major Holidays Off

The Virtual Hub is closed on the following days of the year: Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day (December 26), and New Year’s Day. If any of these days fall on a weekday, you will NOT be called to come to work AND you will be paid a full day’s wages.

Ongoing Training and Support

If there’s anything that the initial eight-week training program has not tackled, we will provide you with training and support to help you become successful in your role.

How to Register

Pick your testing date

Testing will be held on two Saturdays in October: October 12 and October 19. Slots for October 12 are now full, but we still have a few slots available for October 19.

It will be a full-day event (9am to 4pm) with briefings and Q&A sessions, so be sure you are free the entire day. There will be no retakes if you decide to leave in the middle of the tests.

The tests will be administered at our office in I1 Building, Cebu IT Park. They are designed to gauge your English communication skills, as well as your ability to follow instructions (sounds easy, right?).

Snacks and refreshments will be available, but feel free to bring your own if you have special dietary requirements.

^The Php 10,000 monthly rate includes the basic pay and Night Differential for applicable hours. Salaries are paid usually on the 15th and 30th of the month. If either of these dates fall on a weekend or a holiday, salaries are paid on the business day before either of those dates.
* Virtual Assistants working with clients based in US Eastern and Central time zones may start work at 9pm Philippine Time (PHT) and end work at 6am PHT the following morning. Those working with clients in US Pacific time zones may start work at 10pm PHT and end work at 7am PHT the following morning.
The two-week break is an unpaid period, during which you will not be owed any remuneration for the time off. The two-week period is only applicable once, and only from December 23, 2019 to January 3, 2020; it is not a yearly benefit.
The Philippine Government requires all employees to secure their Social Security numbers, their PhilHealth memberships, and their Pag-Ibig/HDMF memberships before engaging in employment. The Virtual Hub will conduct a pre-employment briefing on the day of testing.
